03/10/13 Riga, Latvia with my friends Dennis and Anne.
The first day.
It was DESTINY to meet Dennis in Lithuania. The first coincidence was in Karoke Party for Erasmus students in Vilnius. Anne and I attended the party as students of Vilnius
University(VU), Dennis was just attracted by the party and came there. We had some routine conversation and said goodbye, but we met again on the street near the big cathedral in next day. We call the second coincidence as destiny, now! Anyway, we promised to travel around the other Baltic countries together. So thankfully, Dennis came to Lithuania again and take the bus together. Then, here is our story in Riga! The fist day of our trip!

The first impression of Riga was "It's quite similar to the scenes of Vilnius, even the market!". Market was so crowded with lots of people and there were various products from groceries to electronic devices. It was impressed a old woman gave us some nuts. I wanted to express thank, but I don't know how to say "Thank u" in Latvian.- Most of old men can't speak English at all, but most of them can speak Russian!

Here, in Latvia, there're numerous cathedrals and sculptures which imply protest- swords, flags and knights. It's the same as Lithuania.

And there was a Korean restaurant whose name is Soranksans. Soranksan is very famous tourist spot-big mountain in Korea. We hoped to have some meal there, but we didn't have enough money to afford to pay for it. :(

Actually, in the first day of our trip, my condition was really terrible. I was suffering from diarrhea. So, we went back to our hostel and took a rest for 2 hours and decided to have dinner at LIDO. The reason why we decided to go to LIDO was a recommendation posted on the board in hostel.
Lido was great. The restaurant provided a variety of foods as buffet style. But, the cost is proportion to what we chose. Each of foods have different prices.

And, we decided to go to pub. I couldn't drink alcohol because of my stomach but the cocktails' tastes were really great. Sex on the beach and the other thing that I forgot. While we can feel the bitter taste of life through Soju, Korean Vodka, we can taste the sweetie taste of life through cocktail, I think :)

Our hostel in Riga was marvelous. It was cozy and so comfortable. But sadly, I forgot the name of hostel, as well... Holy crap! Anyway, We finished the first day of trip with German alcohol and sweetie peaches :)
