04/10/13-05/10/13 Tallin, Estonia with my friends Dennis and Anne.
Finally, we arrived in Tallin, Estonia! I thought all Baltic countries look similar, and it was true in Riga. However, Tallin was distinguishable among 3 countries. Actually, I couldn't feel big interest in Riga, because of the huge similarity between Vilnius and Riga. But Tallin, in my opinion, is the most developed and it's old town has some differences in a few perspectives. Then, let me start my story in Tallin.
The overall environment of this town is modern, I think. It's more modern than Vilnius and Riga. Also, there're much more various brand shops in the shopping center. Definitely, the price is the highest among the Baltic countries and this country is the only one to use Euro as the public currency.
▼ Kadriorg Palace in Tallin
Not that far from our hostel, the palace named Kadrigo is located. Taking a trolley bus, we could get the park near the palace. The garden in this park was organized very well. If we went there in Spring, the scene would be more breathtaking. All natural scenes looked like a small town of fairy tales.
In front of congress of president of Tallin. We could encounter the bodyguards to protect the president. My brave friend, Anne tried to go upstairs, the guys warned her saying "STOP". I was so embarrassed. Haha...
The baby was really cute. He (or she?) didn't feel scared of us. Cutty smile and white skin was so impressive :D
They were working on taking pictures of her. Maybe, she's a kind of model. And also, this time, as usual.. my brave friend whose hobby is asking for someone, anne proposed her to take a picture together. Thanks to her, I got wonderful photo and interesting experience- taking pictures with model of Estonia. :)
In front of palace, feel the classic of Europe.
Fortunately, near the palace, there is an ocean! Such a long time since I saw the ocean! In Korea, I can go to sea by walk, because I lived along the sea side.
Our happy time in Tallin.
Do, Re, Mi...
For lunch, we had some susi(I don't know how to spell). But the price was so high. I freaked out because in Korea, I can taste much more delicious at lower price. I didn't imagine I could eat susi in Europe.
▼ Zoo
In fact, I'm not that much of animal lovers but Anne really like animals. Therefore, we went zoo of Tallin together.
There were various animals from camel to elephant. But, to me, it was not that interesting because they were all in cages and had so sad face.
▼ Old town (the most beautiful ever)
I dare say, this city has the most beautiful old town, at least among 3 Baltic countries. As I mentioned many times, there's not huge gap between Vilnius and Riga. However, Tallin's was totally different.
They have more colorful structures in different style. It reminded me the background of Titan on Attack, Japanese animation.
I can't take the whole atmosphere in my camera! I could experience the most European Europe. The appereance that I always imagined.
Look the colors!
The harbor near our hostel. The night scene was also awesome. Calm and peaceful.
Lastly, we went to club of Tallin. We expected it would be the hottest club, but unfortunately, it wasn't. We entered the club too much early. Anyway, we went back to our dorm, our base camp in Vilnius, safely! 3 days-trip was really good to me. It's wholly thanks to my friend, Dennis :) Good human navigator and mild helper for us! See you on December and take care of yourself!
